HISTORY: Horizon Technologies was founded by Richard “Rick” Green in 1983. He has led Horizon in the installation and design of hundreds of systems ranging from intrusion detection and access control, to CCTV and fire detection systems. Based in Wethersfield, Connecticut, the Company takes pride in its customer satisfaction and long-term relationships, providing the latest in high-quality electronic security.
Rick has devoted his career to the security industry. Early in his career, he developed his expertise by installing and servicing many highly sophisticated systems and managed the service department of a large security firm. Rick takes particular satisfaction in customizing and designing specialized applications tailored to each customer’s individual needs, and in providing the finest post-installation customer support possible. He holds a CT ELC contractor’s license, is a member of the Connecticut Alarm & Systems Integrators Association, and is a graduate of the Ward Technical College of the University of Hartford.
Michael “Mike” Sylvester, Technical Services Manager, has been employed by Horizon Technologies since 2013. Mike has also made electronic security his career, and is highly proficient in the installation, programming, interfacing and servicing of all systems offered by Horizon Technologies. Mike’s electrical training was with Porter & Chester Institute, and he had six years of experience in the field before joining Horizon Technologies.
Nancy is your courteous, responsive contact for all things administrative and financial. She coordinates activities at the company’s Wethersfield office including answering phones and processing billing and payables.
